Seaweed Depths

Seaweed Depths: from my Garden Journal series, is available as an unframed print in 3 different sizes. These giclée prints are created professionally from a high resolution scan of my original art, using the 12-color Canon Lucia pigment inks set, designed to resist fading over time.

• Archival: Acid and Lignin Free
• No Optical Brighteners: these papers have a warm white natural color just like my original artwork. 
• Heavyweight: 290 gsm 
• Two pricing options: Choose between the Moab Entrada Rag Natural which is made from 100% cotton, or the eco-friendly Hahnemuhle Bamboo which contains 90% Bamboo fibers and 10% Cotton rag.

About my Art Process: 

Over the summer I created a botanical series by printing directly with gathered flora. I shared my progress online and this visual journal has connected me with fellow garden lovers around the world. I enjoy the gelatin plate for creating monoprints because it's strong enough to take the necessary pressure that will transfer ink to paper, but flexible enough to show the delicate details when leaves or other 3-D textured materials are pressed into the ink and used as temporary masks. Since the plate itself isn't altered by the printing process, each artwork is unique.
